A light bulb exploded in the brooder this morning. I'm not sure what caused it, probably a faulty bulb. All the chicks look fine with the exception of one. There is a superficial (As far as I can tell) cut on her leg, right above her foot. It kind of looks like a scrape. Her foot's a little bit swollen, though. I rinsed it even though I saw nothing in it and put some antibiotic cream on it. The chick is laying on her side, eyes partially closed. All the other chicks are running around and acting normal. The only thing I can think of is that maybe she swallowed a piece of glass. Anyone have any thoughts?

She needs to be kept separate from the other chicks. They will peck at injuries and can make them worse. You can try giving her vitamins and electrolytes like Gatorade to help perk her up.

That does sound like a possibility unfortunately.😔 I know our chick's will peck at anything and everything. (Edible or not lol). Sending hugs your way for your chick!🤗
