Light Exposure

Hi again.
We have to set the light intensity for the newborn chicks which newly come to the raising room at over 20 Luxes (about 35).
And we have to do this with full time light exposure.
How long this situation should be?
I think that it's about 2 days of full time exposure with 35 Luxes, am I right?

But rasing chicken outside is not possible during the fall and winter days, when the day is short and the natural light exposes less than 14 hours a day.

Oh sorry. Well when that's the case here, I know my bitties like the whiteish light (not to bright lights though) and they sleep under it.

What do you mean by whiteish light?
Like fluorescent lamps?
Or Moon Light?

Like a low brightness LED light. They love it.

Yes, they grow the best in low intensities of lights, it is measured with Lumen and Lux units.

I just use the red light and a window with no curtains

I use heating plates with mine.

I try to, but my ones that are shipped or under a week old don't survive with just the heat plates. Plus my basement is less than the 60 degrees required to use them in the winter
