Hello I have 1 adult Rhode Island Red Hen and 1 4mth old Black Copper Maran Pullet. Im wanting to make sure my pullet stays warm at night and so have put a red heat bulb in and am wondering if its keeping her awake? Usually around this time (9pm) she is Sound asleep and tonight with the heat lamp in shes Wide Awake eating etc. Is this normal? Should I switch to a ceramic heater? thanks for all the info in advance (wasnt exactly sure where to put this thread hope this is the right spot)

I live in British Columbia and its not that cold yet But it's Very Very damp we are in our rainy season (hardly snows here just rains ALL winter long) not a lot of sun in the winter either so things never really "dry out". So hoping to keep some of the damp away from her with a heat lamp, as she's only 4mths old and is not in with my other hen yet to help keep her warm.
