Smilies aren't ever going to be banned. We portably won't be adding seasonal smilies or a ton of new smilies. There are a million websites that allow you to post smilies like you post images / pics. If you really want seasonal / specific personal smilies then feel free to grab them from any of the websites that provide / host them.

Now, with that said we may have another contest to add more smilies.
