Hi everyone!
I have a 2 year old hen. She began limping on Sunday, so today is day 5. It actually seems to be getting worse because now she is not putting her foot on the ground unless she absolutely has to. Today I noticed she isn’t curling her toes when I put pressure on the pad of her foot like she does with her “good” leg.
We have confirmed it is not Bumblefoot.
She has been isolated for 4 days to keep her from walking on it too much.
I thought maybe she jumped off the roost wrong and pulled a muscle, so I Gave her aspirin and no change.
She is still laying, drinking, and eating normally and wants to get out of the “hospital.” All good signs. It is NOT Bumblefoot. Doesn’t appear to be a pulled muscle. Aspirin didn’t do anything for her. Getting worse.
What could this be? Any other treatment ideas or tests to do to narrow this down?
