i have a red that actually had a mole in its beak for some odd reason, but anyway she was on a tree trunk and jumped off and kept running and i finally picked the mole up and threw it out and hats when she started limping. Her toes aren't spread out like normal they're a bit tucked in together. She lays down and doesnt move for a bit, unless i give them treats, but does anyone know whats happening? will she be ok?

dont know so much about the mole incident, but my chickens, when i finished their lot (not really sure if they are "free range" or not...they are free to range inside their fence all they please) when i finished it and put em out of the henhouse for the first time to let em scratch around and eat, most of em came out fairly easy, but one had to be coaxed a little bit, so i pushed her out the door and when i did i think she twisted her leg a little bit or something....limped around on it for a while, didnt scratch much at all (i think it wouldnt support her weight or maybe just hurt when she stood on it). she laid around a lot but eventually "gimpy" as we started calling her came around and is one of the flock again. i really didnt do anything except let her rest and recover and she came through it just fine. one thing i didnt want was for her to be hurting, i'd rather kill em than watch em suffer. but an older lady i know who knows a little bout chickens told me to just wait and see how she did before i got all rambo and ended it for her. long story just a little longer, i waited and she was fine. dont know if this helps you any or not, but good luck and i hope your hen is ok!

If you jumped off something and the ground was twice your height down you'd probably hurt your leg so maybe jumping off the stump hurt her leg a little.
