Husband let the girls out into the chain link to oeck around this morning. When I went out this afternoon to check on them, I noticed my FBCM laying in the grass next to the fence (the "greener side"). She's a very active girl and one of several fence jumpers I have. I believe she must have hurt her leg when jumping over. I do not see anything at all in her legs or feet, but she is definitely favoring her right leg. After I put her back inside the fencing, she is still moving around to eat, drink, forage, etc. Should I put her in an infirmary to keep her still for awhile or let her be?

I would look her over for any swelling, redness, green bruising, or a break/cut in the skin. Look for a displaced hip or leg. Check on her tomorrow to make sure that she is not injured. If she has a sprain or worse, separate her in a dog crate withfood and water.

Thank you. I didn't see anything at all tonight when checking her over, just a definite limp. I'll separate her tomorrow if she is still limping. I'm pretty sure that will be the case considering the way she looked tonight... pronounced limp but not so bad she was immobile.
