Just an update that Gobbles has mostly recovered, is digging and running with the best of them but has an uneven gait. There were never any scratches or scabs on her feet so am assuming it might be dislocation or something in upper leg where it is harder to see.

I have the exact problem. My hen got exrayed. The upper outside corner of her femur was chipped off and totally floating by itself. leg seemed in place though. Hope she heals as well.

That shows how nice it is to be able to get an X-ray in case of a fracture. Hopefully, she will get along well with some limited activity.
