Only one problem with that, he is NOT going to grad school. He says he will only go to college if it is at home.

I will never get to eat another Peep.

Bah! He says that now. Wait until he discovers girls, dancing, parties, girls, booze, girls, and girls. He'll forget about Peeps and parents and think... "Which college is far enough away that mom can't just pop over at any time, yet close enough that I can take my dirty clothes home so she can wash them?"

My kid couldnt get away to college fast enough

I never liked Peeps. Even as a sugar-holic kid I didnt' like them. Eww.

As for chocolate bunnies and chicks, the head is the best part! After that, it's just not as much fun to eat. But I manage to choke it down somehow

I don't know that a 9 year old should have that authority over his family. If he doesn't want to eat candy chicks that fine. But he shouldn't dictate to others in the family

I'm don't mean to offend but, childhood can be a frequent breeding ground for mental disorders. I am in NO way saying because your son does this or that , that he should be rushed into psychiatric evaluation. Sometimes a peeps is just a peeps. He may be concerned about injuries (eating a peeps head off etc.)

Just that - families, friends, others can blow off behaviors that would best be addressed now instead of 20 years later. We have depression in our family as well as anxiety issues, anger management, and ocd they started in childhood decades ago when proper medication and treatment weren't available. It sure crapped up what could have been "normal" childhoods.
