So here they are 8 weeks old. I have to find a loving home for the Roos. Guesses? Mine: roo, roo, pullet, pullet. I was told RIR, now thinking they are PR. Why is the last one lighter, is she the only hen? Do I have 3 Roos!?! WORRIED!

What hatchery does TSC source from? Out of a dozen chicks 8 turned out to be cockrels. You pay extra for pullets! Probably go for chicks online instead. Idk. My flock is 22 wks old so I know what I got obviously. Wish I had this info when I first bought all my chicks. LIVE AND LEARN!

I also think they may be New Hampshire Red's instead of RIR's.... or a mix since they are from TSC... They are quite aggressive sometimes and very loud. I don't really mind tho I am a bit fearful of adding any more docile chicks in the future. Any hints on toning them down a bit?

These are neither RIR nor New Hampshire. These look to be the common Red Sex Link hybrid. Note the white tails and under color of white in the rear area.

Bred for top laying of large brown eggs.

This is a hatchery grade red, sold as Rhode Island Red, but not so much. Commonly referred to as production red.
