Liquid Corid dose for Goats?

Google amprolium for goats, and I think you will find that the recommendation is to give it as a drench. One link I read said 5 mg/kg, others might be twice that, so do read up on it.

5 mg/kg = 0.024 ml per pound

Sulmet is RX only now, so you would have to get that from your vet.

Is the goat drinking?
yes and dehydrating. He will drink 16 floz like a shot glass of wiskey.
I have been mixing Bounce Back in a bowl for him and he downs it.
Giving thiamine to a chicken while on a Corid treatment is a no..no.
That's why I tryed calling my Vet. She gave us the Thiamine. Usually she picks up my calls on Saturdays. I texted her as well. She is a text-aholic.. I am thinking she is out of town..
thank you kiki:)

Read that article Casportpony just linked...
It's good. It says you should give thiamine while using Corid on goats.

He is pooping perfect round and non clumped berries. textbook perfect... leading me to believe it is not coccidiosis. He does not have diarrhea. I am at a loss w/o my vet assisting...:(
I have taking him off grain as instructed. Timothy hay and coastal hay only. He is eating well, drinking too. At the mercy of waiting on the phone call. Like watching water and waiting for it to boil.

Do you have an account at BYH? If not, you might want to make one and ask over there?

I've read that goat parasites are well known to be resistant to many wormers. Have you googled that yet?
Yes.. That is why Our yet has us sub out to various versions and tells us only use as a treatment, not as preventative.. He has a low red blood cell count. With goats, you pull down their bottom eye lids and check their color of the inner lid. It should be pink. White is a anemic. He is currently still anemic. I just drenched w/nutri-drench a few mins ago. Twice a day.
