Hi! I had niacin issues with my duckling and had the same issue, it's always suggested to get the Durvet B complex and to feed it 1ml over a treat daily, but I was unable to get any!Hi can anyone in the UK recommend at liquid vitamin b complex and where to source it please? Xxx
Thank you so much. This afternoon I read something and I couldn't find it again. It was the flush effect not flush free so a big thank you for that. I found the Durvet but it was the same issue as you had. I am going to look for the niacin tablets now. Thank you againHi! I found a couple websites that stock it, in the uk, but the delivery was 14+ days and it was very expensive. Have a look and see if you can find it for sale, just search "Durvet Cattle injectable B complex".
Personally, as I couldn't get it, I got niacin tablets (flush effect, not flush free- they're available on amazon) and put 50mg capsules broken and emptied into a 1/2 gallon of water. I used that as their drinking water, and it got her legs much stronger. It isnt as good-
But it's definitely worth a shot if you cant get the B complex!
I'm curious to see if anyone else replies with any suggestions
Hi. Sorry to be a bother. Can they all share the water with Niacin in or just Barbara? I don't want to give it to the others if it's bad for them xxxThank you so much. Not a bother at all! When my Sprightly had the deficiency, her sister didn't, but I gave the water to both and they were both fine with it! It'll give the others a niacin boost, but shouldnt harm them!Hi. Sorry to be a bother. Can they all share the water with Niacin in or just Barbara? I'm sorry. Please can you confirm that the water with niacin is given constantly please? Not only 1 tablet (4 pints) a day xxxThank you so much. I really appreciate your helpxxx
yes, give the water constantly, until there is enough improvement- 100mg tablets emptied to 1 gallon of water, I prepared this mixture and and gave as their drinking water, replacing with fresh or topping up as needed so they had it 24/7. I saw improvements within about 2 days, but if your duckling has a more severe deficiency or isn't improving, I would keep looking for the B complex and order one when possible. Even if your duckling doesnt need it by the time it arrives, it would be very handy to have in future if the need arises again!I'm sorry.
