[LIST - Over 1,000 names!] Chicken names!

My Rooster is 'Rabies' because he is a psycho silkie bantom!

My hens are: Penny (after henny penny) Charlie (after charlie the easter chick) Arnie (cause she stomped around the eggs when she hatched like Arnold Schwarzenegger) Imposter (cause she looks like arnie!) and Flomp (cause when she was a chick, and even now she flomps asleep in your arms!) <3

My Roo boys were
Sam the man ( White Leghorn borrowed from neighbor)
Duck ( Because he looked like an escaped mallard duckling when he was hatched)
Blue ( Had blue egg gene)
Omlet ( Because he was a bit scrambled!)
Nugget ( Because he was a cute yellow chick!!!) Then he changed to - BIG RED ( Very randy large red sussex)

My children can't tell our chicks apart, except by breed. So, all three Buff Orpintons are called Bibby; the two Partridge Rocks are Cookie and Brownie; the Golden Lace Wyandottes are Quiche and Omelette; the Black Giant is Benedict, and our Black Cochin is Larold. Other than Larold, the kids were on a "creative uses for the eggs we will gather kick."

Roos:
LaMar LaRue{Splash Maran FS}* Adult* Very calm, tries to show off for the girls, they aren't impressed.
Greedy Grover{Ameraucana} He is the first one to run to you for treats and will steal others.
Rhett{Black Copper Maran FS} He is the smallest in the pen but fights everyone.
Hens:
Ester{Easter Egger} *Adult* My big girl follows me everywhere.
Georgette{Easter Egger} *Adult* snobby lil thing.
Mammy{Black Copper Maran} My big bottomed baby.
Prissy{Black copper Maran} she just runs around crazy.
Scarlett{Easter Egger} Has nothing to do with me.
Buttercup{Easter Egger}The only white/tan in the bunch.
Yes a bit of a Gone With the Wind fan
And 19 more still to be named after I see what sex they are.
I think out of the 11 Ameraucana, 10 Easter Eggers and 5 Black Copper Marans 26 chicks in all this year 14 are roos.
I'm keeping 1 BCM and 1 Ameraucana roo.

)
Tofurkey (just thought that was a funny word)

Leghorns:
Tweetsie (as in the railroad)
Agel (DD's misspelled "angel", kinda cute when said as Eggel)

Black Australorp:
Grace (not too original, but was rescued from life being known as Nargwarg - made up word from DD)

EE:
Jessamine (first of DD's flower theme chickens)

Barred Rock:
Denise Abbott (was to be given to a friend Dennis Abbott, but we loved her too much to give her away)

Our new pullets are:

Buff Orpingtons:
Peace
Patience

Golden Lace Polish:
Sunflower
Marigold
although due to being straight run, they may end up to be Sunny and Snap Dragon.

We have little hens...

Chicken Noodle, Noodle for short
Chicken & Dumplings, Dumplings for short
Chicken Tenders, Tenders for short
Chicken Parmesan, Parmesan for short
Blue, short for Cordon Bleu

We were afraid the kids would get too attached to them and then if any actually decided to become dinner, we'd have heart broken little kids on our hands. So, we named them things that would remind them that they may someday be dinner. I don't know that it has actually helped because the kids still each have a chicken picked out as their own little friend.
