I’m glad they’re not though cause a chemical bomb is not what I need atm when I’m about to be moving new birds into it haha
It would not work for springtail bugs. There are many more hiding in cracks in the ground to get them that way

Good point! Didn’t think of that! I think if they really are springtails or some other harmless bug, I will leave them be. They are not in the coop or on any of the birds so I don’t really mind as long as it stays that way. Plus they are good for the compost pile, right?

Yes and they will be gone soon anyway
 
I'm still betting that they are springtails, but regardless of the exact identification everyone seems to be in agreement that they're harmless.
The "spring" in the name comes from their habit of jumping. I don't know how the weather is for you today but in Rhode Island it's about 60 today and I saw a few here and there. I expect you can find them under any old log in the woods but they're easier to see on the sides of brightly colored buckets and whatnot which is why we notice them ;)
