Aphids are often confused with whiteflies, which DO jump, and infest plants similarly to aphids. Even more confusing, both are commonly called "plant lice" while neither are lice at all.

But your little guys are not aphids, whiteflies, or plant lice. They're springtails.

I was researching aphids and whiteflies not long ago and found the same information. Again very interesting. When ever I see a bug or insect I haven't seen before I like to do some research.
 
Same here....but many just panic and start spreading poison ev.ery.where SMH.

Yup, that’s why I came here. To learn more before I just poisoned them all. Granted, I did have a bit of panic/freak out at the beginning of the post, thought I had a flea or mite infestation, but I asked and learned first instead.
