I have these small bugs that crawl over my silkies eggs, I tried to wipe them off with a cloth and they just came back and were over my hands. I think they may be in her as she has been randomly running and screaming when no one is around her. She is spending a lot of extra time when she is not sitting on her eggs cleaning herself. HELP how do I get rid of these little bugs ASAP and keep them away.

Get some Permethrin dust and dust her and the nest.

Sounds like it could be mites.

If you are in the US... I like to use a permethrin based spritz usually found in the equine section... Labeled for use in chickens with NO egg withdrawal required... this is ONE brand..

A small spritz just below the vent, directly to the skin with feathers parted. Repeat under each wing pit and to the base of the head on the back of the neck. Use a soaked cotton swab to administer if need for any chicks or to dab a hint on the crest or beard without getting in the eyes.

Also give a spritz to the inside of lay boxes after destroying nesting material and under the roost.

No I’m in Australia, thanks I’ll see if I can get it here

Sounds like mites and they'll bite humans too, so don't be surprised if you find some bug bites on you. You'll want to treat the chickens with permethrin dust and also clean out the coop and spray it with permethrin spray. Re-treat in 5 to 10 days.

If permethrin isn't available elector psp (spinosad) is supposed to also be effective though more expensive, or fine ground elemental sulfur. I have not tried those myself.

I have used permethrin spray when I had an infestation. It takes at least 3 weekly application of thoroughly spraying the inside of the coop. Every crack and crevice where mites can hide, nest boxes, on and under the roosts, everywhere. It does not kill the mite eggs so repeated treatment is necessary and there is no egg withdrawal period. I use the permethrin dust in the nest boxes. Good luck...
