I candled (I can't help myself) and good news: one of the detached aircells has stabilized and there's an embryo. Bad news: I only saw veining on about 4 eggs total. :/ I won't clear out anything until day 14 again though. But I think I may start asking around for local sources for SFH eggs, I don't predict this being a stellar hatch, haha.

Yay, glad to hear stabilizing the air cell isn't impossible! Also, with any luck the veins are"hiding" from you and they'll be more prominent in a few days. I always try to be optimistic about things The eggs mom brought today I have sitting in egg cartons waiting to go in the bator tomorrow. That will have them sitting for 24 hrs. I read that article that was posted on shipped eggs so I plan on putting them in the turner and leave it unplugged for the first 6-8 days of incubation then I'll start turning I think. Quick question, do you know I'd I candle the guinea eggs on the days that I would chicken eggs? I'll have to check other posts on BYC and see what I find.

Yeah I was really surprised, the air cell had been rolling around all over the place but now it's solid.

Definitely read up on guinea's incubation timeline, it could be totally different. Also I'd check to see if your air cells are detached first, I'd hate for you to lose out on the benefits of turning if they're fine.

I've read quite a few sites on guinea eggs and from what I'm gathering they are treated just as chickens with the exception of the length of time. Chickens are 21 vs. 28 days for guinea. I've candle them . She gave me 25 eggs and from what I can tell 6 or 7 are detached and/or rolling but I can make an air cell out in all of them so definitely not scrambled. Now keep in mind this it's only the second time for me looking for them so hopefully I'm looking at them right

I am going to use the turner to incubate so since the majority of them look pretty good I'm thinking of just putting them in and giving it 3 days before plugging the turner in instead of the intended 6/7 of no turning. I'm kind of winging it at this point I had thought about not using the turner but with the kids (1 is 6yrs old and 1 is 1 yrs old), the horses amongother pets, and my work schedule (I work 12 hr shifts), I just don't think I'd be able to keep up with the 3-5 times a day turning.

Out of 25 eggs that's pretty amazing, I think you're gonna have a good hatch.

I think you're right about the turning @TheGeekySheep in regards to the shipped eggs, thinking back to all of my attempts, turning could be part of the issue. The last clutch I was propping the entire incubator until the turner arrived around day 9 or so. The turner claims to exercise the embryos. The 3 days of sitting without seem to be the the tip most mentioned in Shipped egg articles. Hopefully more than four are developing! Good luck @jurczak09 and @TheGeekySheep

I thought so but like I mentioned I'm fresh to looking for attachment. The rolling was easy to see though. I live in PA and they came from Ohio so there was a lot less handling through the shipping process I think. I hope it goes well. I won't be able to keep any guineas but each time I visit mom I'll get to see them)
My county has a restriction that birds cannot continuously make noise for longer than 1/2 hour so I might get away with keeping a rooster but there's no way guineas would.

The digital was set at 102 but the two inside read around 100.8 during the day and would drop to 99.7 through the night. It started constant through the first 18 days.I think main issue was when I went into lockdown, I put too much water in. Overnight my humidity skyrocketed to 90% and my temp dropped to 97. I adjusted right away but it was like that for roughly 8 hrs I'm guessing. After that it regulated again. At least that's what I've concluded.
