One of those things I'd have to research. I live in hickville NY I don't have elevation...lol  It would be interesting to see if there is anything out there in relation to hatching at higher elevations.

Hicksville NY lol! I found a good study that I was going to send you yesterday, but got busy at work and didn't get to. You may have even seen it, I think it was done by a university or something in Florida. I'll find the link tomorrow. It was posted here on byc, but it was from a few years ago.

That's what it feels like. We have a McDonald's though, so I guess we're not totally redneck....lol Cool on the study. I'll be looking for it.

This is whats come out of my incubator so far! I have about 30 more eggs left in the 'bator still working on hatching and 20 more eggs under broodies in the coop (I have no idea whats going on with those, I haven't checked them). When I got home from work last night, there were a ton of chicks that had hatched, and my humidity was at 93%. There was so much condensation on the windows that it looked like it was going to start raining in there. So, I opened it up again and removed all the chicks, the humidity has been staying around 75-78%. My cracked egg hatched with its yolk not fully absorbed and didn't survive the night, I guess thats how it goes sometimes. The rest of the chicks are hatching quick and clean though, and they're all very active and healthy :)
Congratulations. They are so cute.

I've got got a shaker! I just watched it for good hour last night but this morning still no pips. I'm on day 20 and day 19. I candled some last night to be safe and they are still alive and moving. Just not ready to hatch yet. Maybe today will be the day. *fignerscrossed*

Fantastic! And I swear the more you watch them (and talk to them) the more they shake! haha!
Fingers crossed for you!

I decided to start again

I loaded the 9300 up with 6 turkey eggs, 8 RIR eggs and 28 Silkie/Sizzle eggs. Still waiting on the 9200 to steady out, then I'll put 36 more RIR and 4 OEGB eggs in it. I might need to get another auto turner so I don't have to hand turn the eggs I put into the 9200 (though its original purpose was to be a hatcher, it hasn't quite worked out that way).

I miss Tim Hortons. I wish they had them in Knoxville Tennessee. I guess if I want coffee I have to drive to Columbus Ohio that's the closest one to here that I am aware of.
