I am happy with the results so far, especially considering that the LG is not the easiest bator to get good hatches from.
You should be very proud of that hatch. I don't know how much babysitting your bator needs, but if it's anything like mine, I have a good idea of how much time you have invested in this operation! I'm just itching to get my new bator built with a STX 1000 thermostat in it. But, that won't happen until life slows down at the end of the summer.

Lots of beauties! Those little silver ones are adorable! Very odd on your silkies... I don't know what to think.

I'll also add my apologies to @Silkie-Feet!

I think this a good way to rig the probe on the 9300 its a cut down bowl i did this so when i turn my eggs i can put the probe in the same spot plus it makes it egg level i hope this helps i fried my last batch of eggs and thats my new calibrated thermometer only cost me 25$ i also installed a fan so i have high hopes for my next hatch i have my incubator in my bed room and i run a fan in there 24 7 do you think it would be better in a room with no fan?

If the fan is not blowing on the bator and the room temp stays steady it would probably be ok. Ultimately it might be better in a room w/o but you won't know until you try.

yeah thats tru i should of hatch the same day as yours but i fried them with a bad thermometer ive got it set right now at 97.0 to get the 99.5-100.0 its crazy because at one point i had it set at 103.5 and my thermometer at the time was saying 101.0 so i thought i had it set right but i was so wrong well i guess you live and learn..

Yeah you do. My very first hatch I had just the opposite problem, bought a brand new therometer, never checked it for accuracy, ran the whole incubation at what I thought was 99-100 and ended up with a hatcher day 24&25 with only the 24 surviving. Checked thermometer after to find it was 6 degrees off....the cold side. Lesson learned.

I really like my new thermometer i bought it from a company that sells science stuff it comes with a little card saying its accurate within 0.2 + or - i guess some one calibrates it so you can watch the incubator cycle up and down still with the fan there is still some hot and cold spots i should be putting about 25 in next week so hope all goes well....
