"Little Giant" incubator from Tractor Supply?

As much as I have complained about mine(and I have plenty) that darn thing has hatched out a bunch of chicks!
It's just hard to regulate-once you get the temp and humidity right, though, for the money-it's not bad.

I wouldn't.
Order a better one online and save yourself the money. After mine destroyed 30 eggs (this was divided into two batches) and the only chick I got was ROOSTER, folks told me the hovabater is the same price as the LG, and much easier to use and more successful.

Looked these up on Amazon and it is NOT the same price as the LG. I spent less than $80.00 on our LG + the turner at Tractor Supply. Is there a better price somewhere else?

I just hatched for the first time using an LG still air. We're just at the beginning of day 22 and so far I've had 16 out of 20 hatch. We even had a power outage and I had to rush the thing to my workplace to plug it in...

I only had trouble if I didn't keep my actual room temperature regulated.... once the room was at a steady 68 I didn't have any trouble at all!!!

A lot of people complain about them, but for $50 I don't think you can go wrong! They just take a little common sense.

I think $50.00 is a good price as well. I gave little over $30 for ours and about the same price for the turner. IMO, I think this bator is a good starter for someone who wants to start a small flock of chickens.

I'm mixed on this one. I have an old one that worked great for years, yes it was a pain to get regulated, but worked great after that. I finally sold it a couple moths ago and was still doing great.
I bought a new one last year and it worked great for a few months then went goofy and I have never been able to get it regulated again yet. I hate this new one!

I currently use a sportsman, but I think for someone just starting out an LG is a fair starter incubator. Like someone else has already said, mine hatched out a bunch of chicks over the years. Besides, if you can get good at hatching in one of these, then when you upgrade to a better incubator you feel like a pure-dee expert.

Good luck!

I have one and like lots of other folks.....the art to this bator is getting it fine tuned. After that, you should have little to no issues.
