Makes me miss the little chicks but I sure am enjoying the rewards of the adults and feeding them all those weeks: EGGS!!!!
We could not take ours outside like that since they hatched in the cold weather. I bet they are having fun outside!
I know what you mean about intending on getting only a few. We went to look at the chicks when we got feed and bought 31 between two visits to the feed store! Just crazy! We did not need anymore chicks since we had been hatching eggs in incubator for a couple months at home and already had way more than 30 chicks at home.
You get hooked to baby chicks and want more and want different breeds and then you realize they are not show birds and you can't keep them when the price of feed gets so high and as they grow and eat more and more. We had to down size and have only 3 of those original chicks from the feed store.
