Little Silkie rooster?

So the guy is 9 months old and not crowing or trying to mate. Its also not laying? It sounds like a hen when its just walking around talking.

To me from the pictures presented it looks like a pullet. A free standing profile picture is best for gender ID.

I’m not sure. A roos comb would be a lot larger and would probably have streamers. So...hen?? However, this appears to be either a not very good quality or a mix of some kind as silkies don’t have red combs like that. They have mulberry combs and wattles. And black silkies tend to have black combs and wattles, so that may affect it in some way. A full body profile would help better answer your question.

I'm leaning hen, if (s)he really is 9 months you'll know soon enough. You could just wait for either an egg or a crow. Please get full body pictures, seeing the full body makes all the difference.

I would expect crowing by now in a cockerel, silkies often are VERY late layers. Agree with above, need that full body photo.
