Livid beyond words *rant alert*

Air guns were considered but id get charged with cruelty...my youngest child is six. Fencing is happening but both dogs are or will be large and welded wire isn't enough, I'm having to buy cattle panels and they are expensive.

I'm not sure how anyone would find out you shot it with an air gun unless the neighbor is very close. I would definitely approach your landlord due to the risk for your kids. Maybe he'll take some of off your rent for the fencing and/or the cost of your birds.

Well what is throwing rocks? Kindness? These dogs are killing your birds, you have to think of them too. I would at least try the vinegar/water gun thing. The dogs won't be permanently damaged by it.

they are very close. if anything at all happens to those dogs i will be blamed. i have approached and was told to just shoo them away and that they will absolutley not tie or get rid of said dogs. its not just the cost and time of raising the birds. they mauled two cats so badly that they had to be shot too. if i had the option of moving i would but it is not possible financially at this time.

What are you doing with the panels? Building runs or a dividing fence? Is it a big dividing fence line?

I have tu build runs, I can't afford to fence the whole property. I have a lot of birds and goats that are used to freeranging the entire property.

Sounds like you need a large live trap and take them to the nearest animal shelter. Electric fence would be harmful to your birds. Personally I would beat them senseless with the dead bird. Regardless if it keeps goin, you should be able to take legal action.Those animals are a financial burden to you and causing trauma to your children. Sue them get your deposit back and relocate. Sorry you have to deal with this crap. I think a reasonably priced method is a cheap chicken wire pen with 3 high voltage hot wires around it. I own some extremely hard headed pit bulls that aren't scared of anything.....except that little tiny hot wire around the pen. It makes the nervous.

I can't disappear them to a shelter, it would be known instantly that I had done it. Relocation is not an option at this time. A charge hot enough to stop the dogs would most likely cause harm to my birds too, I also have small children.

I'm sorry, I guess I'm mainly just complaining because I know there is nothing I can do. At least nothing that wwont cause my children and I to become homeless. I'm just frustrated and angry
