Ok, I feel like DH isn’t excited enough about this. Likely because he feeds us all. And teen free labor is also not overly excited as all she sees is eggs in a styrofoam box... but I AM SUPER PUMPED :D

the rainbow of chicken eggs is just too pretty. Now I need some blues, greens,
Olives....

These are some leghorn hopefully, and Ancona for the whites.

the 11 cream were shipped, settled, warmed, they are svarthona

then I had 6 blue black splash copper
Maran eggs shipped as well, also settled.

and the brown 6 are either out of my black sexlinks or my partridge rocks. I am unsure so that will be fun to find out!

:fl Hopefully it all turns out.

Nice!!I hope for awesome hatch rates, likely after some tweaking hatches.

I did put the thermometer in at egg level and so far it’s sitting right where the digital reader says it is. It is a still air, I was thinking since I have the Turner in there the eggs are higher so I likely Don’t need the fan unless it’s
Got some cold spots. Time will tell

I’m reasonably certain that my home eggs are fertilized as I’ve witnessed the “deed” a couple of times. The shipped ones didn’t as far as I could tell have any air cell or crack she’ll issues.. so we shall see!

Looks like I’ve got a few home eggs with veins and a few shipped eggs with veins! One with what looks like a blood circle, can’t remember if that’s good or bad. They have been in 8 days but look like day 5, so I raised the temp a bit and added a tiny bit of water to the bottom. It’s been right around 99.5 steady in there according to the glass thermometer I have ON the eggs. I tested 5 thermometers it was the only one that read ice slush as 32 degrees. So I believe it. I’ve adjusted the temp up as it’s a still air LG. And rotated my eggs position in the turner as in rows away from the heater were moved closer and rows that were under it are where the others were. Not sure if that’s a thing. I think a lot of ,y white egg laying hens are not friendly to my roosters as my brown eggs I have several with veins and white eggs I have One. I just CANT see through the marans eggs at all but a few of my shipped svarthonas are Good! I should probably weigh them all again? I traced the air cells some seem fairly large to me. Compared to photos. I think I have 9 with chicks growing. Three I can’t get a good shot of.

This has me itching! I’ve already been saying my red cuckoo Orpington and Easter egger eggs “just incase”. Good luck with your hatch!

I couldn’t help myself and bought some eggs to try out, then realized some of my own are fertile... so everything went in for its inaugural run. Lol fingers crossed. But I was actually not expecting this many to be good
