Lockdown in 2 days

Everyone has their own method to their hatching madness.... I leave mine in until the hatching cycle is done or day 22 starts. Seems like they have some hatching momentum. You don't want to lose your humidity especially if someone is pipped. You have 3 hatched and four more to go?

Hi, I hope I'm not overstepping by jumping in here. I'm still new to the whole chicken world - though I will say the bug bit me HARD! I'm in my first lockdown - unfortunately only 1 egg made it to lock down (from 3 from our own flock - breda hens and a sultan rooster...long story) and it's been 21 days (as of tonight). So far, humidity and temp has been constant but I'm worried because the egg isn't moving much and hasn't pipped yet.

I know I'm probably just anxious and worried for no reason but I thought maybe if people who just hatched told me the same thing I'd calm my tiny *** down!

Ok that is what I will be doing. No I pit 14 eggs, 2 of them have pips, and I candle before and saw that at least 3 did not look fertile but I left them in there anyways. Hope I'm not confusing. Lol

We are all the same way you are right now. My day 21 is tomorrow and everyone stopped moving. I have had 5 early and starting to get worried about the rest. You still have up to 4 days that it could hatch. I have also had 2 zipped for 2 days they are killin me watching them they are still moving and peeping so I know they are alive. Just wish they would come out already. It is nerve wracking waiting.

URGGGGG!

I'm going to come clean, when I first thought about getting into hatching these babies I read through this section of the forum and kept thinking "psh, I'd be able to sleep" "psh, I'd be able to not check on them ever 15 minutes"

....I was wrong.

I set up the incubator on my desk so I can work while staring at the baby egg.

JUST PEEP ONCE!!! ONCE!!!

ok...I'm ok...

One more question. How much can humidity go up its at 70 now I've had it there but I know it goes up as they start hatching. Will they be fine.
