I can't let mine free range as we have no other fencing to keep stray dogs out. My neighbors are my in-laws and their dogs have always come down to visit. Of course now, I wish they didn't. Sigh..

Oh yes dogs are more worrisome than wild preds. We have had our experience with them too but thankfully none have gotten inside the fencing. We put up Non climbing horse fencing to keep the blk bears out they destroyed our welded wire fence climbing over it so often.
Maybe some bird shot to the butts would teach them to stay away? Rubber bullets?

Bears are one thing I don't have to worry about. Thank goodness!

They use our spring road to come to the river. We love having them around they have never messed with our birds but boy they can do a number on fencing and bird feeders.

I backpack and have hiked parts of the AT. I get overly concerned about bears visiting me in my tent. Lol.

Yep we have had them in our camp site can pretty scary to wake up to one rummaging around in a "bear proof "trash can. Or to hear a panther scream in the middle of the night.

Not in my area. Maybe southern. Once a bear wandered into NE Indiana from MI, but that is rare.
