Finally after 2 days(Saturday and Sunday morning) at the Connersville poultry show after Shultz dropped me off at my home, that evening I was bending down to pick up my leghorn pullet and WHAM Kernal got his spurr right in the top of my left foot. For this he got a good kick into the chainlink fence (not to hard) and he tried to take off for the door ( he knew what he had done LOL

) I scooped him up by grabbing his legs and walked around the yard and put him in his crate which he spent the whole weekend in. Hopefully he has learnt his lesson and will not try that with me again. Silly bird

Ouch! I have 6 roos and only one is a jerk (Blue Andalusian). It is getting better because I have been working with him and now with winter clothing I am so well padded I just ignore him when he starts his kung-fu thing--- I think he is getting bored because I don't respond. In fact this AM I went and sat on my milk crate in the run and he kept an eye on me but steered clear even when I was petting "his" girls. That's something I haven't been able to do for months. During the summer after he got me real good a few times (always goes for my knees--- which is a heck of a lot better than my face!) my DH started teasing me about NOT wearing shorts because he said friends and neighbors would report him for spousal abuse!!!

At first I was terrified--- and I realized that was my biggest mistake--- now I ignore him or pick him up if he starts getting fiesty--- things are way better
