But, when wanting to engage in good manners by acknowledging someone's attempt at humor(whether successful or not) , it is a hell of a lot easier than typing out; "Golly, that was indeed humourous. I appreciate your taking the time out of your busy day to attempt to lighten my spirits with the sharing of such joviality".
