Hi all,
So I have a tufted roman goose that is in her first season of laying eggs. She is the only goose in a flock with two female ducks and several hens and one rooster, so there is no way her eggs are fertilized. I've been taking her eggs for weeks and she has now gone broody in the hen house. When she left the nest today I took her egg and the two duck eggs in her nest and messed up the bed she'd made for herself and her eggs. I feel so bad! The nest was all cozy and the eggs were nice and warm!
Will she stop being broody on her own if there aren't any eggs in the nest?
