Your chick will be fine being alone, just went through that with my last hatch recently. My little chick is thriving although I do spend time with it and my other chickens of varying age keeps it company when I'm not around.

Maybe you could help me identify this bird or do we wait tell it's older

Always check there butt everyday to keep the pasty butt under control, make sure to clean it off.

To identify properly, it needs to be about 6 weeks old. Fully feathered.

I was told at day one to check for a ball or balls and I thought that's what I seen I tried that one with the feet hang or go up and the feathers which I'm sure points to a boy but if I'm wrong I'd be very great full if not no biggie.
