lonely chick.

:wee Yay! :bowThank goodness! Another one hatch at 11PM:jumpy!! Can't wait till baby dries enough to check gender, however  I'm thinking it's another boy :idunno. Will see soon. Either tomorrow to the day after should be one more chick to hatch. Both will be part game.

Exactly as predicted , last one hatched this morning. :weeThe second Is already with the first and now the Lonely chick is not lonely anymore. :clap
The sexes? All boys:barnie. But that's fine. Maybe someone wants part game Roos? Well, waiting on my ducks to hatch and more chicks. Need another incubator. Fast. Lol

Wing sexing only works if the chick comes from a fast feathering rooster and a slow feathering hen. It doesn't work for all breeds. By 6 weeks you should have some idea of the gender of your chicks - boys generally start growing wattles by then and their combs are larger and redder. Girls will have flesh coloured, almost non existent combs, and no wattles at that age (they start pinking up and growing wattles around 10-12 weeks).

Now that's a bird is of a different color! ☺️ This is not what I had read but I see the logic. Then, all three just may be girls or mix. Great to know. Thanks! :thumbsup
