Long Distance Friendships :-(

Soo.. the funniest thing...
I friended a newer BYCer on FB.. turns out we are the same age.. same birthday. I was talking about the chinese calender thingies and how I'm a dragon and he must be too... and he says he just checked his calendar thing.. and No.. We're rabbits!

I'm not a rabbit! I remember really well that every time I look at one of those, I'm a dragon. Is Englands chineese calender different than the US one???

Hey! Part of the dragon description says we only get along with other dragons.. some monkeys, and the occasional something else!
That must be the explanation here!

James in th UK guy.. I noticed he was the same age as me.. plus I like reading writing from aussies, brits, and such!

Dont worry! I like your writing too

You do get a fish! You do! I *will* have a spawn.. or else! Im going to try popping another female in with him when I feel like getting up... I have a nice platinum female who might go well with him.. Ill post her pic in a minute... since *hes* still in the spawning mood with a huge nest.. might as well, eh?

Really?! That's got to be why!
I'm a Taurus.

We want to move to the UK. Seriously.
If we have to stay in the US, we want to live in Alabama.
Our big plan is to go to the UK though. It'd help if we knew someone over there to help us out a bit.
Seems pretty silly though.

We promised eachother to save money to visit eachother atleast once every 5 years.

Good Luck with your friend! Once you've met "that" friend, the others just arn't the same

Nah nah!

It's not silly to want to go somewhere new and exciting! I would have gone with my mom to Australia years ago.. but I was just too tired of moving all the time. Too many new places. I know as soo as I get settled somewhere with enough land I'm going to plant my feet in and never want to set foot off the property... unless something reeeeallly huge comes along (like Prince Hunky.. who has an estate or something

What is it about the UK.. versus, say, Aussie Land that has drawn your interest?

I have heard some weird things about the UK. My boyfriend's sister married a British guy and they went to school there together. Anyway, they rented a "flat" and ended up watching t.v. on their computer since they had to pay extra to have a television (like renting a t.v.?!). But one of the things that really would bother me if I lived there is that I can't get all of my baking supplies. She complains that she can't bake most of the things she can bake here because the ingredients don't exist there or they're hard to find.

Am I chatting with younger people here? I like to find people my age (although I'm not at all biased or anything). I'm 22 but I get along with older people. I don't tell most of the people I know that I go on forums. I just let them marvel at all of the knowledge I seem to have accumulated about chickens.

Lol. I'm 19, Squishy is 23. I think..

We don't want a flat. We want a house away from the city so we can have out chickens.
Apparently the country is somewhat cheaper because it's not close to stores and such.
I don't really bake much, so that stuff probably wouldn't bother me much.
