I was considering it from a human breeding train of thought. I wonder what other breeds of human are really tall and broad? I'll have to look up the people from those countries you mentioned.

I need to research my pedigree better.... but its such a boring prospect! I want the answers... but I just wish it was affordable to have someone do all the research for you.

Sorry... not food labels! LOL! I mean, people labels. OCD, ect. Middle-class, ect. Political affiliaton, ect. All that sort of stuff. Its just weird. People used to be like, "Hey I'm whos-he-whats-it" and then you got to know whos-he-whats-it as they were. Wait... maybe thats all in my imagination... I seem to remember now there were noble lords and pheasants and all sorts of things... LOL!

I've been reading alot of books with time as a feature... and Im sleepy... and that explains my train of thought well enough I think... Hehe!

Hi Flare flare!

So... early this morning... I was hearing the weirdest noise. A couple hours later it was still going on. It had the sound of a baby goats voice and almost seemed to be mewling like a kitten. Apparently its my Snuggles.. decided to be a rooster. He really sounds like a goat! It was so hilarious and it went on for hours!!!

Like, when am I supposed to stop doing this again?

Funny thing is my 4 months old silkie roo Velvet.. has yet to crow at all. In fact his little warning noises and such sound just like the hens.
Apparently I'm going to have to keep both sets of 3... the 3 Silkies and the 3 younger Cochins... apart forever in seperate domiciles... because the Silkies do not like any of them a wee bit! Not even poor Angel, the sweet little frizzled girl. They call her names because of her funny feathers, she says

You should have gotten it on video. It would've been so funny!


My Silkies aren't super friendly like people said they would be. I'm pretty disappointed.
Maybe Velvet is a hen..

Well see.. My silkies went through this long scardey cat stage.. and then at 3 months they seemed to relax alot and only recently they've started coming up to me in the pen. I think thats all it is.. they just have more fear in them in the teenage stage.

Velvet is definitely a roo. Hes got the walnut comb and everything.. while the girls combs are nearly invisible. I think hes just a feminine sort

The best thing you could do for you and your babies/baby if you only keep one.. is let them see you pretty oftwn but give them their space... mine seemed to come around after that. Now my little Sparkle girl loves to snuggle up to my side when I sit in the pen with treats... and hop over my legs

Ahhh Angel... I'd tell her that... but all she likes to do all day is lay about. She is the laziest hen ever. Always resting her chin on her big fat curly feather bosom. If she gets up its only to scratch under her a bit and lay back down

Nope.. Snuggles was supposed to be a girl!

But! I dont care... Hes my Snuggles. Since Im going to have to keep them all in 2 flocks anyway.. he might as well get to stay on and be the protector of the little ones.


Oy! What a day! I found so many neat places online last night. But theres one bit of vacant land I loove so much... way out of the price range though. *stomp* *stomp* especially as theres nothing on it yet. But Im just getting fustrated with all these places with houses on them and something always weird with the house or its set in a totally dumb area of the farm

Like really? Is it so hard to be smart when your building something as permanant as a house??!!
I thought maybe I could get the aforementioned peice of land... sell off half of it (it 20 acres, though Id like them, Id need the money) and we could bring in some new mobiles or something while I built my house. No idea what the rest of you are going to do

But mom insists theres something wrong with selling off part of a peice of land.. surveyors and stuff.. I dont know, doesent sound that hard to me.. but I think I was getting on her nerves for some reason today. Thats kind of hard to believe when I'm so cute, right??

Oh it was sooo beautiful! It was perfect and had a little pond with oak trees leaning over it. Wonderful location.

Anyway... the search continues. I think I might have to find an additional classifieds site to look at too. I've seen all the current listings on this one.

I like the name Alanni (sp? memory)... There are books from a popular author I read back when I was a kid. The heroine was a girl pretending to be a boy and training to be a knight in a midieval like setting

Her name was Alanna. I always thought it pretty. Alanna the Lioness. Though they've renamed the books now...
