Hmmm... Well.. Could you get a summer job... or a part time one?

If you needed, say, $100... You could work a full job for 1 or 2 weeks and have that and a bit extra.

Or if you went part time.. some sort of babysitting or animal sitting gig or something... maybe you could make $25 on one day on a weekend or something and have your hundred after a month?

I would like to, but me having a job could affect my youth allowance at this time, which is part of mums income, and would mess everything up

Plus i am only on winter break for 2 more weeks.. and I'm de-stressing after a 20 week semester of school

I'll be patient, i should be getting 50$ of my youth allowance every fortnight by the end of the month hopefully.

If i were really desperate

I could set up one of the cruddy spare tanks i have now

but it would require a filter and making sure the heater would work, and still saving some money for said fish

but i rather have everything new because im difficult like that

same! I dont know who used it last how it was kept what it was used for etc atleast with new things i know they are safe and unused

From what you said though.. it sounds like the petstores over there treat the Bettas nicer than here

... Here every petstore and Walmart that has Bettas has them in these teeny tiny cups... like something you would drink out of.. only half as tall... that hold maybe 1 cup or 1 1/2 cups of water

Then they seem to be confused about why they loose half of them before they are sold
