Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

It is a hot and muggy day in Brahmalot. Some of the children decided to have a game of hide and seek ...

But no one had the energy to seek!

Little Orphan Annie and her foster siblings found a nice shady spot.

Finally, this little prince decided it was his turn to seek!

Meanwhile, some of the older children play King/Queen of the bridge.

Queen Mother Chrissie's foster children from the land of Turkey enjoy the shade.

This little one gets some tips from King Zeke on life in general.

The neighboring giants went away on vacation for a little while. There were many sights to see in the wonderful far-off land of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee -

Beautiful country!

There were some strange sights -

and exotic winged creatures

as well as large beasts in the forests and fields!

There were also some familiar sights in the middle of this strange land -

Most roads were very winding -

and were traveled by car and buggy.

A fun time was had with mother, step-father,

daughter, son-in-law,

and hubby ...

But as is true in these fairy-tale lands,

There's no place like home!

Finally a sunny day! It was a big day in Brahmalot -

The youngsters soak up the sun after many days of rain. They enjoyed their first day out of their nursery.

Meanwhile, the entire castle is turned out for a good cleaning.

Queen Mother Chrissie comes off her nest for a bit. Surprisingly, she is on Lady BJ's eggs (and one of Lady Flopsymopsycottontail). While she was stretching her legs, her bed got freshened with new hay. One egg, sadly, was noticed to be cracked, but she still has six that are developing nicely.

Queen Mother Chrissie has, happily, fully recovered from her recent "scalping" trauma and, although her comb is a bit smaller, her head is fully covered with feathers and she is looking forward to being a mom again.

The entire castle got a good cleaning. All beds were freshened with new hay and the floors were covered with a nice thick layer of shavings. There are now nine ladies in waiting, so the beds are a bit crowded, but all were cleaned and the ladies will soon be back to bed to await the arrival of their children.
