Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

The entire castle got a good cleaning. All beds were freshened with new hay and the floors were covered with a nice thick layer of shavings. There are now nine ladies in waiting, so the beds are a bit crowded, but all were cleaned and the ladies will soon be back to bed to await the arrival of their children.

Nine Ladies in Waiting!! How exciting!
Kudos to the Giants for a job well done!

The Beasts of Brahmalot are off to the royal doctor to get spayed today. It is hoped all of Brahmalot will survive trying to keep two huge puppies quiet for a week of recuperation!

At 5-1/2 months old, Zig now weighs 68 pounds and Zag is 73.

Update: The beasts are driving this humble scribe absolutely crazy! Having to keep two 70-ish pound babies in the house 24/7 while their incisions heal, work full time, plus fill a huge order for exotic bird toys (our side business), the citizens of Brahmalot, although not neglected, have been allowed to run their own lives without interference of camera. By next week, Zig and Zag will be able to go outside again, the order will be filled, and hopefully life will get back to normal.

Stay tuned, friends, Brahmalot has not been abandoned and new stories will be forthcoming.

Looking forward to the return, but can wait patiently. I am sending calm and peaceful vibes to Zig, Zag and the entire kingdom to get through this turbulent time.

Thinking of you during your pups re-coop-eration. We have done this with 3 pairs of female Labs over the years. A week's rest at the stage of their lives is like living with 4 legged shaken soda bottles, way too much pent up energy. Had to resort to acepromazine (sp?) for the last Lab pup. It worked wonders so her body had a chance to mend after surgery. Good luck!

Another disease has hit Brahmalot - the dreaded molt!

Some have been hit hard by this yearly disease -

Some a bit less so -

But all enjoyed a late season watermelon!

The foreign exchange students from Turkey are growing big and strong -

and Queen Mother Chrissie is still waiting ...
