Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

Dear Scribe, I help a friend with his exotics and he has something like a goodly dozen peafowl and from what I've seen of them they tend to be the picked upon, not the instigators. They fly incredibly well but fortunately they have a homing instinct and tend to returne to where they first lived, especially if moved as adults. I incubated some eggs this year and among other critters hatched out two peafowl but unfortunately don't have room for them at this time so they went back to where I got the eggs. They could easily be a showy and fun addtion to the kingdom.

I would love to say thank you for your wonderful stories and antics about your flock. I have literally laughed and cried. I look forward to each and every update you can give. Thank you truly.

Sjisty, Sticky Face disease has spread to California!!!! THE HORRORS! Didn't have a camera with me at the time but one of the resident fuzzies where I keep my horse, was gourging on nice sweet/sticky ripe figs and, well you know the rest of that.....

The physicians of Brahmalot have searched far and wide but alas, there is no cure for the dreaded sticky face disease. It is also highly contagious, so expect it to pop up again and again. Luckily, it is not fatal and, in fact, can be very cute on the right face!

Every now and then this scribe feels that it's time for the story to end, and then reads a post like this. Thank each and every one of you for your kind words. It's you who keep this story alive!

I hope your never ending story, stays never ending. I myself have a small flock. My own King Red if I may. I have followed your story for so long I named one of my girls Jiffy. She is my tiniest hen but one of the most loved. I often call her TJ for Tiny Jiffy. She herself has vision problems and eats her dinner out of a bowl on my lap. :) I love her dearly.

There is a new strain of sticky face disease in Brahmalot - it's called dirty head disease! So far it has only shown up on one citizen, Sir (or Lady) Flopsymopsycottontail, or Flopsy for short. Symptoms start on the top back of the head.

So far the front seems unaffected. This disease will have to be closely watched. There are strange happenings in the land of Brahmalot!

Meanwhile, Lady Alma (formerly known as Prince Elmo) enjoys a little cuddle time,

while her sister patiently waits for her turn.

Princess Chitti's first born child, little Bang-Bang, is becoming quite a beauty.

A polish?? In brahmalot??

There is only the one Polish, and he/she is probably only visiting for a while. Mork has taken a definite dislike to poor Sir Flopsy and will not leave him alone. Brahmalot also suddenly has one Royal Palm Turkey poult, too. Many foreigners have heard how wonderful the land of Brahmalot is, so they are coming from far away in the hopes of settling down.

How funny. Brahmalot sure houses them all!!

My young and unnamed kingdom has contracted a variant of the sticky face disease. It is confined only to the Delawares, being a problem inherent to white-feathered birds. Sticky Chest Disease appears to result from hunkering down atop the unsalable peaches when desirous of eating alone.

The Light Brahma who is destined by her size and dignity to become queen appears, so far, to be immune. Even the Big Red Boys (scoundrels one and all), do not steal peaches from Crown Princess Rosemary.
