Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

Has there been any more beastly attacks or unusual antics?
Everything at Brahmalot has been nice and quiet, just the way this scribe likes. Remember - the last time someone asked for excitement, we had a coyote attack and a rattlesnake in the same day!

The children are growing, the ladies are molting. There are a few too many men in Brahmalot, though. The two men from Seramalot seem to be very aggressive, even to ladies who are much, much bigger, so they may have to go on quest.

There seem to be a few old age problems here and there, and Lady Maria was laid to rest recently. She was one of the oldest and developed an infection due to laying internally that just could not be cured.

Old King Rocky is still in his private room, safe from King Samson and Sir Marco. He does get visited often by the ladies and children, so he is not alone all the time. This scribe does believe that his days are numbered, too, but he has had a long and happy life. The cold weather of winter may force a decision. Quality of life is the main consideration.

There are a lot of old Ladies of the court. Ladies Blackie and Bertha are over 7 years of age and are still healthy. Lady Blackie loves to be a mom and has raised many children. Both she and her sister, Bertha, still lay eggs regularly, about 4 a week. They pre-date Brahmalot, and came before even the first Brahma stepped foot on the land!

Lady Chrissie is the oldest, probably close to 8 years old. She also loves to raise children and still gives an egg a day when not raising young. She is a survivor, over the years surviving two hawk attacks and a mauling by a dog.

There is a beautiful new prince in the nursery! He is just starting to get feathers and looks to be a huge and beautiful blue partridge Brahma boy. His picture will be posted soon and his story will begin.

In the coming months, about 20-ish children will be going on quest, and possibly a court jester or two. There are foster children who are just visiting and will not become part of the story of Brahmalot, namely visitors from the far off country of Wyandotte and Black Copper children from the country of Marans.

Stay tuned!

There was one episode a few weeks ago. A serpent came in the night and killed five of Lady Chrissie's children. This same serpent (it is thought) returned two weeks ago for some eggs. This time he did not leave.

In a round-about way.  Princess Chitti is actually Princess Chittigong, which is a breed of chicken that was used in developing Brahmas.  One of the friends of Brahmalot named her back somewhere around page 55 or so.  Being that this scribe loved the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, it just made sense (in a twisted way) to name her first child Bang-Bang.

Anything is possible in Brahmalot!

LOVE LOVE LOVE All the updates! I can't believe that Princess Chitti is old enough to have her own fuzzies! Where DOES the time go??? :love
