Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

Beautiful Kings, and Queens of Brahmalot may your adventures continue.

Brahmalot is peaceful and quiet these days, thankfully. With only two kings now, the ladies are relaxed and happy. The children are growing big and strong, and there have been no dragons in the kingdom lately.

The Royal Guardians are growing big and strong, but still cannot be trusted loose in the kingdom.

I recently found your wonderful stories and have gotten all caught up and still enjoy every follow up you post. I have to laugh every time I see the guardians. I took a puppy training course a couple months ago and there was a black and white Great Dane in the class who looked similar to yours. His name was Rorschach. Still makes me giggle :D

Another day in Brahmalot. Lady Hope teaches her little ones the pleasure of dust baths.

Sadly, the morning after this picture, the little yellow chick was found dead and the other one was injured. It is feared a rat found it's way into the castle overnight. The dreaded beast was actually seen in the storage room, but his days are now numbered.

Hope's little partridge baby is now in the infirmary with what looks like bite injuries to her left leg, but will be reunited with Lady Hope later today in their own private safe room in the infirmary until it is well enough to go back to the castle.

Meanwhile, at the house of the neighboring giants, the Beasts practice their fearsome scowls for when they become the official guardians of Brahmalot!

So sorry about the little yellow chick. I hope the partridge chick heals quickly. Get that nasty beast!

The big adorable beasts look like they could be practicing their hyena laughs or coordinated yawns. But if I were a nasty beast, I wouldn't want to mess with those big mouths.

So sorry about the dead chick! I hope the other gets better quickly! I also hope you can get rid of that nasty beast...

There is a special "ale" that is usually kept in the storage room for just such unwanted guests of the kingdom. It had run out recently, but now a new batch has been made and is available, without charge, for any more unwelcome customers. This method has kept unwanted visitors away for years with no untoward effects on the citizens of Brahmalot.

Meanwhile, little "Hoppy" is in the infirmary with her/his mother, Lady Hope. The poor little thing has two visible injuries to his thigh and is not putting any weight on that leg at all, but otherwise is eating and drinking well. The royal physician cannot feel any broken bones in the leg. He had a nice long soak in Betadine water this morning and will be closely watched for the next few days for signs of infection.

Little Hoppy and mom were very happy to be reunited this morning and the little one appears to be clever enough to stay away from Mom's big clumsy feet.

This neighboring giant/chief cook/maid/royal physician/scribe is hopeful for a full recovery.
