Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

It's 70+ here today, almost too hot to do anything.

Meanwhile, Lady Flopsymopsycottontail continues to lay her eggs anywhere and everywhere. She refuses to stop what she is doing and just squats wherever she happens to be!

I believe some of Brahmalots roaming minstrels have gone abroad recently as I heard great songs from the yard and expected tiny gifts but found none. They have well constructed chambers for singing but appear to like open air concerts...

The children of Brahmalot are enjoying the warm weather after two days of bone-chilling cold!

Proud papa, King Zeke, fondly watches over his children.

This is so entertaining! How do your Brahmas do in the FL heat? Do you hatch all your chicks under hens or do you use an incubator?

The citizens of Brahmalot have lots of shady places throughout the kingdom and always have fresh water, so the heat does not seem to bother them. There are always eggs in the incubator to give to the "ladies in waiting," but often the chicks are hatched in the incubator and raised by the neighboring giants until old enough to join the kingdom.

Have signs of spring come to Brahmalot ?

Yes, spring has arrived at Brahmalot. The trees are turning green, buds are sprouting, and the citizens are doing what comes naturally, creating lots of children! This bowl full of babies hatched two days ago.

More pictures and stories soon - it's been a busy week for this scribe!
