Long live the King - the neverending story of Brahmalot!

Stepping away from Brahmalot for a minute -

The Beast is gone.  RIP Solo.  My beautiful, ugly, deformed Solo.  He was never expected to live as long as he did and he seemed to be very happy and in no pain.  Solo was like a puppy dog, following anyone and everyone, always wanting a snack or just to be scratched on his head.  He had a long hard hatch, the only one of a dozen dark Brahma eggs.  It was soon apparent he was "not right."  His legs were not exactly splayed, but looked to be attached in the wrong place on his body, making him walk like a drunken sailor.  It appeared impossible for him to expel his waste out and away, so he had to have his posterior bathed often.  He also was obviously "mentally impaired."  He was never in any pain or distress, so I let him grow and watched him to make sure he was safe and not picked on by the others.  He became a beloved pet, as are all of our Brahmalot citizens.

Solo passed away Saturday, the reason is a mystery.  He was with us almost a year and will be sorely missed.  Goodbye, my prince!

As long as I'm not in Brahmalot mode at the moment, I want to THANK YOU ALL for enjoying my stories!  I have enjoyed the creating of Brahmalot immensely and appreciate every kind comment.  There will be more stories coming soon if I can get my creative juices flowing.

Da'www i think im gonna cry :(. I love the story though keep it up!

These young princes are getting some pointers from King Samson on how to rule when they go on their quests to new kingdoms.

Sometimes, though, King Samson lowers his guard and becomes a little less kingly!

He is a splendid king and the princes pay close attention so they can learn much from him.

The scribe of Brahmalot unveiled -

Meanwhile, the babies discover the "big food dish." They are obviously somewhat lacking in table manners.

I'm too stuffed to move!

Me, too - I think I'll take a nap.

Sounds good to me!

MORE!!!!! I hope Price Lucky is behaving for the Royal Physicians, and that he is soon delivered from his ailments.

Brahmalot is in the land of Brooksville, in central Florida. There is a smattering of palm trees, lots of hickory trees and sweetgum trees, and a few maples. We have had a very rainy summer, which is unusual, but the citizens of Brahmalot work very hard to destroy every blade of grass in their domain, only allowing grass to grow in the neighboring land of the friendly giants.

Prince Lucky only has eyes for his princess, Jiffy, so he has not challenged the throne yet.

The main crop of Brahmalot is watermelon, and there is usually a weekly watermelon festival in the summer months. When the watermelon is scarce, frozen corn and other vegetables are welcome. In winter months, the neighboring giants usually bring warm oatmeal and mush so everyone gets a warm meal.

The citizens of Brahmalot consist mostly of partridge Brahmas with some lemon pyle Brahmas (King Samson, Princess Buttercup, and others), some light Brahmas (old King Rocky and his harem), one dark Brahma (Queen Frack), one buff Brahma (Lady China), a couple of Jersey Giants, two seramas (Court Jester Romeo and his lady, Juliet), one unknown breed bantam (Queen Mother Chrissie), and various other outlanders who have made Brahmalot their home. In chicken math, that's probably 8 or so, but in the real world it's more like 40-ish. There are also two friendly neighboring giants, two dogs, and three caged birds who all make up the kingdom of Brahmalot, which is a huge kingdom, in chicken feet, of almost 3 acres.
