When the ovaries in a hen or duck are damaged/removed, they start to grow plumage & comb like a male which is why the hen looks like a rooster. Very interesting

Thank you for the education on this subject. It looks to me that the gentleman is going thru the side of the chicken. Am I missing something ? Or I do I need to retake anatomy again?
The testicles on a chicken are located inside the abdominal cavity, not in the place you would expect on most animals. So yes, the surgery is done through the side.
