Look at my little mutant!

This little feller is 3 days old and we just noticed his toes. Mom is a Silkie and dad is a Light Brahma. We were expecting 5 toes. He has four toes on one foot and five on the other! His sibling has five on each foot. Weird!

I heard the 4/5 toe-thing was relatively common with silkies and silkie crossbreeds, but I dunno.


I know that my sizzles are REALLY prone to sticking their toes where they don't belong, and losing toes/toenails that way

We just hatched a Silkie-Americauna mix last night that had 5 toes on the left and 4 on the right

I think its interesting he/she seems to have slightly webbed feet, unless that is normal...
