Hey Mike!! I wish I could have bought those big ol tubs, I just had 0 to work with. So I found some free wood on Craigslist and went and got it. Sure enough I had enough to build my massive brooder.

As I mentioned, I plan on putting down vinyl flooring, the stick em kind. Figured it'd be easiest to do. Or that shelf liner stuff. I'd have to staple the shower curtain all over the place to avoid wrinkling.

I was just thinking as far as contamination, something without cracks for feces to get into and absorbed?

I raise alot of chicks and after a week a wrinkle is nothing for them.

It's your brooder, I would just hate to see it get ruined from the first or second batch of chicks.
That thing looks like it could last a good 10 seasons.
That's all,
Mike

Really? If i put the tiles as close together as possible, then I line the wall (like a splash baord) as well? Hmmm... what do you think abotu shelf liner? Like the sticky stuff I can buy at Walmart... should I lay that down, and put those tiles on top of that?

get the solid sheet of flooring vinyl for the bottom. I have one just like yours but its 4x4 and one story, I used the squares on it the first time and they did not stick very well and kept falling off. I had to replace it with the solid vinyl and it works great. Very easy to clean. You will love it. I do love yours 2 story.
