Look at what's watching my babies!

He is a beautiful owl. Every year we get to watch two babies fledge and grow up. I even have a video of two of them bathing in the bird bath! Keeping the little ones under cover is a small price to pay for the glory of watching the owls grow and learn (and hopefully learn not to eat baby chickens). They don't bother the bigger chickens and even when they do a fly-over, my chickens will startle, but when they realize its the owls and not a hawk, they just ignore them. A hawk fly-over makes them all dive for cover.

Beautiful owl....I have a barn and can not for the life of me get owls to nest in it.....I can hear them and have seen them in the trees over my pond at night, but not in my barn......my chickens are covered and you had better do the same....you did a great job keeping them out of harms way so far sounds like.

That is a beautiful animal...and amazing.

We all should consider that we are in their world...not vice versa.
