Look what I found in my bedroom!

Really?! We had two Siamese that barked. One was Ping Ping, she was a linx point, the sweetest thing. The other, her daughter Midnight (she was black), she was only half Siamese, her mama went running around one night

They were both so sweet. I miss them :aww

I love the name Ginsu.

Actually, I have 10 three day old chicks in my bedroom in a brooder, but they are too tiny to eat them. I know, I'm not very smart for keeping chicks in my apartment. Its been 95 degress in my apartment for three days and I am going to go insane! I feel like Lucy, in the episode where 100 chicks get loose and they are all trying to gather them up, meanwhile, they have to turn the heat up to 95 so the chicks won't freeze to death

I ordered them without telling my parents they were getting 10 more chickens

I told my mom and she wasn't mad, but my dad doesn't know yet :o He won't be happy, he didn't want them in the first place. But really, if you have six chickens, are ten more really going to make that much of a difference?

Oh, the bug is a cricket.

Technically its in the cricket family but its a katydid

Ahh, I didn't know that. I knew they don't look anything like crickets, but they chirp.

Thread hijack:

A vet tech once told me that any cat that's all black or all white is part Siamese, as these are genetic traits of the Siamese breed. I've got an all black female cat who is incredibly talkative, another Siamese trait.

Don't get a Siamese if you mind chatty or whiny cats. My cat never... EVER... shuts up. she drives us nuts, especially when she's under foot & whining at us!

Orange tabbies are mellow, pretty quiet cats.

Well, I asked them if they ate it, but they aren't talking

I love the name Ginsu.

She was grandma's cat and we lived really close to her and I used to go over there just to see Ginsu. She was the MOST cross eyed cat I have ever seen and her "meow" sounded more like "Mrough" She lived til she was 22!

I didn't know that, that's interesting. Oh man, I know! I actually lucked out. Jasmine is pretty much silent, but Issabella will sreeeeeaammm when she wants to go out. They started off as indoor cats, but she was so miserable being in the apartment all the time. So I compromised, I let them out when it gets to the point when there are no cars on the street. They mainly stay on the stairs in the halls, so I don't worry about predators. I am in a pretty populated area. I have only seen one possom and it was a baby

It was so cute

But my mom has a siamese that has THE most unpleasent meow I have ever heard. It is like nails on a chalk board. I tell her that she needs to warn people of that before she sells her kittens

I love the crossed eyes! I think the funnier looking the cuter. I wonder how well they can see.
That's amazing, Midnight lived until she was 21 (a few months short of her 22 birthday) Mabye its a trait in Siamese

Just realized that my house is quiet. Too quiet.

I put my black cat outside hours ago and forgot her. She is going to seriously B&M when I let her in!

Poor baby! Sometimes I will look around and wonder where did my cats go. Ends up I forgot I put them out and they've been out all night! Lord, I would make a terrible mother.
