I had a 1/2 bassett--I could see that she might be, too. My mix had the shorter ears, too. My best to you and (hopefully) your new addition, too.

She does look like she's well cared for......not filthy and half starved. She probably is someone's beloved pet. You might take her in to a shelter or vet and have her scanned for a microchip. She's a beautiful dog, and she's lucky you found her!

Don't have much time but first get her vet checked, second does she like chickens and threeeeeeeeeee she is so pretty. It would be ashame if there is a problem with the first two. Nice looking dog one of you is very fortunate. Could be your hus' lucky day.

Well, she is a total sweetheart, we are bonding and getting along just great. she is pretty well trained. Now for the chickens -- she loves to chase them. We are working with her on a leash to try and get her attention off of them. The cats and her are doing great, as long as they don't run from her. One of the cats loves to torment her and tease her. All and all she has turned out to be a great dog to have around.

I have tried to find an owner, will be taking her to the vet in the morning. We are so country here that we did not have a scan for the micro chip until just recently. to be honest I did not know until today our vet got the equipment. He said he would scan her and check her out for me.

She is a keeper. I should of named her Keeper -- but she is learning her name Miss Bessy.

She is cute. Is/was someones pet. If she isn't pregnant she needs a diet!! She looks like a beagle/ basset, corgi, or doxi mix.
