I am so sorry!! I too am suffering from a broken heart today!! I lost my Roo!! I had a stray dog that used to come and chase my chickens but he would just push them around with his nose! I am so sorry!

forgive me if this has been posted b4, but do you have a dog of your own? Maybe a flock guardian would be good to have around. My dogs are very good with my chickens and I hope that they deter any dogs roaming from entering the yard. Seems so.

I can't imagine your horror. So sorry. I got a paintball gun to shoot my neighbors dog. It stung the dog, and I figure I sent a message. Problem is, once they kill like at your place, they want to do it again. It could be a child in the way next time. What a nightmare. My prayers are with you. Laureen

so, SO sorry for your loss... I've experienced somewhat similar loss, but the predator was a coyote. My heart goes out to you.

I really appreciate all of you guys concern. I went out there to view the scene, finally!! I discovered the wire was torn apart. Regular chicken wire so now I'm tring to think if i should get another type of wire to protect the next flock I get.
