Looking for a baby rooster

Hi all. Hope I'm posting correctly. Never did it before.

In two years of having my girls I have never had a hawk problem. In the past 3 days I have lost to of my Barred rock ladies. I'm thinking maybe if I had a rooster it would protect them a little? Or at least sound an alarm so I'll know there's a problem?
I just got 6 baby Rhode island reds and I was thinking I could put a baby rooster in with them. Of course I realize I have to wait till he's grown a bit before he'll be much of a watchdog.

So that being said does anyone near Blackburg South Carolina have a baby rooster they want to sell? Breed doesn't matter to me.

My chicks are only about a week and a half old.

Well, I found a place about 75 miles from here that sells your choice of chicks so I think I'm good to go but thanks anyway.
