Looking for a source in the USA for standard size Silkies

So appreciate this. In your experience, have you been aware of anyone breeding Standards in the US? I’m puzzled as to why it’s so rare.
What do you mean by Standards?

I call mine show quality (bearded and vaulted). There's a link to my silkie page in my signature if you want to see what I mean.

My understanding the difference is size mostly although the standard size will also lay slightly larger eggs.
Here’s how the I internet explains it…
The main difference is
size: standard Silkies are significantly larger and heavier, while bantam Silkies are a miniature version. While standard Silkies are the original European variety, in the US, all Silkies are often classified as bantams, though they are bred to different size standards. The smaller bantam size requires less food and space, while the standard size may offer slightly larger eggs and more meat.

Sorry the weight comparison table didn’t paste legibly. Standard hen weighs 3lbs vs bantam hen weighs 18 oz approximately.

Gotcha. I have just silkies here. Not sure if they're considered standard or bantam as I never weighed them. These are show quality, and I strive to meet SOP standards. One of them recently won in a national competition in Ohio.

Bantam is a class reference to size and silkies can be considered bantam, but I've come across a few with true bantam breeds that sometimes don't like silkies thrown into that classification.

I think it's a manner of thinking is all. I don't know what google was talking about with two different sizes of silkies as there truely is only one. As you shop around, you'll see what I mean. I have a few larger silkies and a couple that are quite small compared to the rest, but I consider them all the same, not different like "standard" versus "bantam."

I hope I'm explaining this okay.

I believe @MysteryChicken has been working on a project or two involving larger silkies, maybe they might know someone who knows someone?

You may have better luck with inquiries if you ask about "large fowl" instead of "standard." You might also try asking about "meat" silkies. I know black skinned/boned birds are a niche market in areas with a large population of Asian descent where they're considered a delicacy. But people in that niche are less likely to use "show bird" terms like bantam/standard/large fowl/etc.
